EAQ centres are working with local authorities to obtain the necessary licences now required under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 which came into force on 1st October 2018.
There are EAQ Approved Centres throughout England, Scotland and Wales and in Australia too. EAQ sets and monitors quality standards for its approved centres including staffing, animal welfare, policies and procedures and the learning environment. The centres are able to offer EAQ programmes and nationally-accredited qualifcations because of EAQ's accreditation with national awarding organisations including OCN London and SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority).
